Carrie is an inhabitant of the town of Bose.
She works as an orbal craftswoman at Lucir Orbal Factory in the southern section of Bose. Over the course of a short time, the shop changes hands twice, but Carrie remains rather indifferent to the politics downstairs. She doesn't seem to have a strong personal connection with either owner, only working at the orbal factory in order to pursue her creative interests, although she likes Nigel less than Cornelius due to the former cramping her artistic instincts, as she puts it, while the latter gave her space to do things at her own pace.

Carrie is the employee of Cornelius and temporarily of Nigel.
