Bruno is an inhabitant of the town of Zeiss.
He's a transport vehicle driver who makes a living driving goods from Zeiss to the Calvard Republic. Around the time Estelle and Joshua arrive in Zeiss, Bruno is getting ready for another trip across the border. Being a bit paranoid about the reliability of his vehicle and not wanting to take any chances, Bruno checks and double-checks the vehicle and also hires Wong, a bracer from the Zeiss branch, to escort him as far as Wolf Fort.
The day after the blackout in Zeiss, Bruno leaves for Calvard together with Wong. His worries, both about the reliability of his vehicle and the dangers of getting stranded in the middle of nowhere, prove justified as the engine of his ride breaks down in the middle of the Tratt Plains between Zeiss and Wolf Fort where they're found by Estelle, Joshua and Tita who responded to a request by the Guild to track down the missing vehicle. Just as the conclusion is reached that the engine will most likely have to be replaced, the vehicle comes under attack from a large group of Armored Rabbits. Bruno already sees his life flashing before his eyes, but Estelle, Joshua, Tita and Wong manage to defeat the group of monsters without problems. Not wanting to return to Zeiss already and leave his vehicle stranded in the middle of nowhere, Bruno asks Estelle and Joshua to contact Prometheus at the factory and arrange a replacement engine the next time they're in Zeiss while he resumes his attempts to get his vehicle started.
Estelle, Joshua and Tita do so and although it turns out that Bruno missed the memo about Prometheus moving departments years ago, the bracers manage to locate another engine through use of the Capel unit. They manage to reach Wong and Bruno just in time as the latter was already considering returning to Zeiss on foot. With Tita's help, the engine is quickly swapped and Bruno is able to continue his trip to the border.
The rest of Bruno's trip isn't smooth sailing either as border security has been tightened after the attack on the Central Factory, resulting in Bruno having to wait a lot longer than usual before his clearance gets through. He kills time by reading a book, even giving one of his books, a chapter of Carnelia, to Estelle and Joshua if they talk to him while he's waiting outside Wolf Fort.
A day later, Bruno is back in Zeiss and quickly gets commissioned with another transport job. Pleased with Wong's performance on the former trip, Bruno visits the guild to hire him again, only to realize he completely forgot the name of his former bodyguard.
