Bartholomew is a man met at the military checkpoint of Air-Letten.
He's an airport worker from Zeiss who's making a tour throughout the entire Ruan region as part of his vacation, starting at Manoria Village and ending his trip at Air-Letten. While staying there, he and his fellow tourists briefly get caught up in Duke Dunan's antics.
When the duke arrives at the checkpoint and claims the entire place for himself, he ends up forcing Bartholomew and several other visitors out. Chief Watch Officer Hahn, who's in charge of the checkpoint, puts in a request with the Bracer Guild in an attempt to defuse the situation while consulting with Dunan's butler on how to handle things, but by the time Estelle, Joshua and Kloe arrive to respond to the request, Bartholomew and the others already had enough and Joshua and Hahn are forced to stay behind to calm them down, leaving Estelle and Kloe to deal with Dunan.
Eventually, the duke ends up leaving in a hurry, allowing Bartholomew and the others to get back to enjoying their stay. Sometime during or after the mayoral scandal in Ruan, Bartholomew ends up returning to Zeiss and resuming his job at the airport. Even after resuming his job at the landing pad, he's still grumpy that the duke ruined his vacation.
Like most people in Zeiss, Bartholomew is puzzled by the sudden and unexpected blackout though he feels glad that it didn't happen at a time there were airships in the process of landing.
