Franz Perzel (フランツ・バーゼル) is the owner of the Perzel Farm west of Estelle's hometown of Rolent.
Profile
Rolent is known for its export of quality lumber, sepith and vegetables and the latter is something that Franz can take credit for. The vegetables from his farm are renown both in Rolent and beyond for their excellent taste. Since airships can nowadays be used to quickly ship vegetables to other parts of the country, Franz usually has trouble meeting all the demand.
This became even more of a problem when it turned out the crops on his farm aren't merely considered tasty by people, but also by monsters. In response to a group of creatures feasting on his crops at night, Franz puts in an extermination request at the Bracer Guild which is taken up by Estelle and Joshua, who are friends of his oldest daughter and regular visitors at the farm.
After the creatures are caught and subdued, Joshua suggests killing the them, but Estelle, Tio and Hannah make a case for letting them go. Siding with his wife, daughter and Estelle, Franz decides to let the creatures off the hook this time and strengthen the fences around the farm to ensure the safety of his crops. Since Franz was the one who made the request of the guild, Joshua drops his objections and the crop munchers are scared off by Estelle.
Life on the farm quickly returns to normal afterwards.
