Miss Hazel is an inhabitant of the town of Zeiss.
She's an older woman who works as the receptionist of Central Factory and while Erick at the service window is the person who gets to address visitors who are dropping by with technical questions, Miss Hazel is the one people talk to for all other issues and she usually knows everything that goes on in the factory.
When Estelle and Joshua first arrive in the factory in the company of Tita, Miss Hazel calls out to them from the reception desk and informs Tita that supervisor Travis wanted her to come to the operations room on the 5th floor. After Estelle and Joshua check in at the local guild and are given a letter of introduction to the factory chief, they hand it over to Miss Hazel and let her arrange the visit, though she shows silent disapproval of Estelle's sense of theatrics.
Throughout Estelle's and Joshua's stay in Zeiss, Miss Hazel usually points out the location of whatever room in the factory they need to be at that moment. Like many in the factory, Miss Hazel seems to have a soft spot for Tita, usually telling her to be careful whenever she's about to leave town. When Estelle and Joshua prepare to accompany Tita to Elmo, Miss Hazel contacts the Bracer Guild on their behalf to make the job an official one.
When Central Factory is attacked by the Intelligence Division and workers are evacuating the place in a frenzy, it's Miss Hazel who performs a head count and reports that all employees escaped, with the exception of Professor Russell and when it turns out that Russell has been kidnapped, she's the one who's tasked with keeping a lid on his disappearance. She's also kept in the loop about the rescue attempt by the Bracer Guild and the Central Factory, thanking Estelle and Joshua for a succesful rescue operation afterwards and wishing them good luck in their travels.
