Katrina is an inhabitant of the town of Grancel.
She lives in a large house in the western section of the royal city, right next to the Grand Cathedral, together with her ward-turned-maid Dalia and (officially) her husband General Morgan.
Due to being stationed at the Haken Gate, General Morgan is away from the home most of the year, though he usually comes home at the time of the martial arts competition in order to compete there and then attend a meeting of the Royal Assembly afterwards, of which he's a member. Due to her husband being so closely involved with the royal family, Katrina's a close acquaintance of the Queen as well. Whenever the queen would fall ill in the past, Katrina'd usually visit her, but this time she was turned away at the gate.
As if that didn't make her worry enough, her husband mysteriously doesn't show up for the competition or the meeting at the castle either and despite numerous attempts on her part, Katrina's unable to get in touch with him at the Haken Gate. As if that isn't enough, her granddaughter Rianne, who was visiting with her at that time disappears without a trace too and although Katrina puts in a request with the army to have the missing girl found, she receives no response. After Estelle, Joshua, the Grancel bracers and the Royal Guard rescue the hostages held at the Erbe Royal Villa, however, Elnan gets in touch with Katrina to let her know that Rianne's been found and is unharmed.
It isn't until Colonel Richard's coup d'etat is thwarted that she learns that both her granddaughter and her husband were imprisoned by the Intelligence Division in order to keep the general from getting in Colonel Richard's way. Seeing that Richard has visited their house many times and has always been nice and polite to her, Katrina mentions she still wants to believe there were good intentions behind his actions.
Ten years ago, after the Hundred Days War ended, Katrina and her husband took in one of the children who was orphaned during the war. The orphaned girl, Dalia, stayed with her guardians and became their maid out of gratitude. While General Morgan is a rather intimidating figure in his own right, Dalia mentions that it's actually Katrina who wears the pants in the relationship and she can be even scarier than her husband.

Katrina is the wife of General Morgan, the grandmother of Rianne and the guardian and employer of Dalia.
