Private Dan, a NPC met in Grancel

Private Dan is a soldier serving in the 왕국군.

He's stationed in Grancel and it's his duty to guard the castle's front gate together with his colleague Private Aluts.

While the castle is usually open to the public, a state of emergency was declared after the attack on 차이스 중앙 공방 and the castle's been closed ever since, forcing Dan and Aluts to stop and explain the situation to every person who comes to visit.

Two of those visitors are Estelle and Joshua, who anticipated the castle being closed, but decided to stop by just to see what they could learn. Fortunately for them, neither Dan nor Aluts are particularly tight-lipped, divulging the rumors about Queen Alicia having falling ill, the emergency structure having resulted in the castle being closed to the public and Duke Dunan acting as the Queen's proxy with Colonel Richard doing the actual governing in his place.

When Estelle acts disappointed at not being able to see the Queen, Dan and Aluts remind her that there's still plenty to see in Grancel.

Dan himself is rather upset with the perceived treason by the 특무병s, claiming he always found them elitist jerks anyway, but he quickly backpedals when Aluts reminds him that Lieutenant Schwarz is part of the royal guard too. It turns out that both Dan and Aluts were taught court etiquette and swordplay by the lieutenant and Estelle guesses that both of them have a little crush on her despite both soldiers never exchanging more than polite greetings each day.

While Dan isn't overly fond of the royal guardmembers, he likes the Intelligence Division's special ops even less, mentioning that they creep him out. After the 에르베 별궁 is taken by the bracers and royal guardsmen, the entire royal division of soldiers is dismissed and replaced with special ops and Dan and Aluts are seen at the Sunnybell Inn across the street from the 유격사 협회 trying to make sense of the whole thing.

Even though Dan thinks the special ops are creepy, he has great respect for Colonel Richard, mentioning that the Colonel's the reason they've had lots of new recruits for the Intelligence Division lately and even after the coup is thwarted and he and Aluts are back to guarding the castle gate again, he still insists that Richard cannot have been the true mastermind of the coup, which actually turns out to be correct.

Private Dan is a colleague and fellow gate guard of Private Aluts.

He's also an admirer of Lieutenant Julia Schwarz.
