Sidney is in charge of guns on the ship, but does spend some time on the surface with [[Kairi]] supporting the main campus. Ada and Sidney are ambushed by monsters, and Sidney offers to keep them back while Ada escapes but Rean manages to intervene and save both. Ada accuses Sidney of thinking she is weak because she is a girl, but Sidney states it should be her that lives instead of him. Ada thinks him some kind of crazy feminist but appreciates the gesture and says she is impressed, even if Sidney isn't popular.
