Zacharias is an inhabitant of the town of Grancel.
He's the co-owner of Wingard Orbal Factory located in the southern block of the royal city.
Zacharias started and owns the orbal factory together with his childhood friend Tom, with the former handling the storefront and sales while the latter is responsible for repairs and maintenance.
Apparantly the orbal factory has trouble keeping the books balanced throughout the year, so they rely on big profits generated by major events like the martial arts tournament and the birthday celebration to keep the store financially viable. Zacharias mentions that the members of the Royal Guard used to be important patrons of their business and the orbal factory lost a decent amount of sales when the guardsmen were marked as traitors.
Zacharias isn't shy about applying a bit of creativity in order to make up for that loss. When he recognizes Estelle's group as participants in the martial arts competition, he starts fishing for an endorsement in order to attract more customers and continues his attempts at such an endorsement as the bracers approach the finals.
While Zacharias and his colleague Tom are supposedly childhood friends and buddies, it's hard to believe they get along well, since their personalities are almost complete opposites and they see eye-to-eye on very few things. While Tom is a hard and diligent worker who values serving his customers, has no issues to put in overtime if someone needs an emergency repair job and refrains from attending the martial arts competition to finish his chores despite the fact he'd have liked to see the matches, Zacharias is a very self-centered person who closes up shop in order to go and watch the fighting tournament and whose only concern in the business is the mira it generates.
