Gerald is an inhabitant of the city of Zeiss.
He's an employee of the Orbalship Corporation and sits behind the ticket counter of Zeiss' airport.
When Estelle and Joshua are searching for maintenance chief Gustav, who was supposed to be at the airport, they speak to Gerald who mentions that Gustav went to Leiston Fortress a few days earlier to do an emergency repair job, but that he's on his way back. Right as they're speaking, the factory ship with the maintenance chief on board returns and Estelle and Joshua head over to the access ramp to speak with Gustav.
After Estelle, Joshua, Agate and Tita successfully rescue Professor Russell from Leiston Fortress, Kilika from the Zeiss Bracer Guild contacts Gerald and arranges tickets for Estelle and Joshua on the next flight to Grancel. After the two of them picked up their tickets and went to the landing platform to wait for the airliner to arrive, Gerald got word from the army that there had been terrorist activity and that the airship's arrival would be delayed while the military performed inspections. Gerald suggested Estelle and Joshua to wait at the Bracer Guild and promised to drop a call when the airship arrived in Zeiss, but the bracers decided to walk to Grancel instead and returned their tickets.
Gerald likes to read the Liberl News during moments he doesn't have much to do and the incidents with the sky bandits and Dalmore in Bose and Ruan make him wonder what the world is coming to, remaining in the dark about the circumstance surrounding the Intelligence Division's power grab until the special coup edition of the Liberl News is published.
