Ferida Al-Fayed (フェリーダ・アルファイド), known to friends as Feri (フェリ), is a jaeger with the high-ranking Warriors of Kruga corps. She is introduced in 영웅전설 여의 궤적. She was the second to joined Arkride Solution Office.

Introduction

A young jaeger belonging to the elite jaeger corps, the Warriors of Kruga. She has received intense combat training ever since she was little. Though she is relentless in battle, living on the edge of society all her life as a jaeger has left her unfamiliar with many aspects of the city. Outside of combat situations, she tends to react with innocent, naive curiosity to the sights and sounds of Edith. Upon receiving word that another jaeger corps she had known for a long time had suddenly gone missing, Feri begins searching. She also tries to make contact with a certain problem-solver in Edith who she had heard will take on any job.

A young girl from the Warriors of Kruga, a strong and well-known jaeger corps from the Central East. Due to her upbringing as part of the Kruga—a very proud and traditionalist people—Feri sees no evil in the act of fighting. This has led to her genuine admiration for the warriors in her clan, such as her father and brother, and her desire to one day rise to their ranks. Although she does indeed possess both the nobility and bravery befitting her warrior roots, Feri is, at her core, just as innocent and naive as any other girl her age. As such, she is often enthralled by new sights and experiences, and has a tendency to engage in all manner of adorable hobbies. Feri first approached Van while seeking help in her search for another jaeger who she viewed as an older sister. Interestingly enough, she decided to join the Arkride Solutions team after the resolution of her case, stating a need to experience the world beyond the walls of her clan. It was only upon the conclusion of the events with Almata that she decided to temporarily return to the Kruga village. While there, she performed the role of the priestess during their New Year's Festival, showing her friends and family just how much she had grown in her time away.

A young jaeger who has been trained in live combat since early childhood under the Warriors of Kruga, a prominent jaeger corps that holds both pride and tradition in the highest regards. Feri—full name Ferida—joined Arkride Solutions as a part-time assistant after requesting Van's help in finding someone from the Eisenschild, a rival corps. When not working on solving 4SPGs, she also attends Sunday School at a Central Eastern temple in the capital. In the spring of 1209, Feri was affected by a phenomenon called the 'corrosion,' which altered her memories in such a way that she began to view Van and the rest of Arkride Solutions as enemies. Thankfully, she was able to overcome this adversity with the help of her brother and friends. Having recently turned fourteen, Feri is considered an adult in the eyes of the Kruga. However, if her dedication to bettering herself is any indication, she's not done growing just yet.

Appearance

Feri is a girl with a darker, tanned complexion, short-styled hair, and a petite physique. Feri wears a long, dusty yellow jacket with detached sleeves and an open high collar. The text; " Deeds are fruits" is found embroidered onto her jacket. A silver pendant shaped like a circle with a vertical bar and ending with a blue tassel acts as a zipper. Feri also wears a single thigh high boot consisting of a series of straps and open sections and open-toed flat shoes. She has a series of bands interlaced with her hair, fastened with a silver clip and red bands around her wrists, with silver discs. Feri also wears earrings that resemble the Kruga corps emblem, and a long flowing red scarf which is draped around her shoulders twice in a cross.

Feri is armed with an orbal rifleblade, resembling an automatic firearm. Like most jaeger weapons, it appears to have at least dual functionality. It has a retractable blade.

Personality

Having experienced serious combat training since childhood, she shows her fierce jaeger side in battle, but being a young girl unfamiliar with a large city, she also shows reactions expected from a girl her age in day-to-day life.

Feri is often naive in her understanding of the modern world in all areas outside of her activities a jaeger. As such, although she knows her way around a battlefield, she is often very inquisitive about customs and terminology unfamiliar to her. Feri is often oblivious to the innuendos and euphemisms used by her older co-workers and Agnès Claudel makes a point of trying to defend her innocence as much as possible.

Feri is a devout follower of Arusha, the flame goddess and embodiment of Aidios in the Central East.

Trivia

• The text; " Deeds are fruits" is found embroidered onto her jacket. This is the first half of the proverb "Deeds are fruits, words are but leaves" from Martin H. Manser's The Facts on File Dictionary of Proverbs. The proverb refers to words having no value unless they are followed by positive action.
• Ferida's English voice actress previously voiced Iseria Frost in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel: Northern War.
• Ferida's weapons resemble Gunblades from Final Fantasy, particularly their depiction in Final Fantasy XIII, given their transformation between gun and sword modes.
