Emil Rieveldt (エミル·リーヴェルト) is the deceased younger brother of Claire Rieveldt.

Profile

Appearance

Emil is a young boy with bright coloured, thick medium-length hair. From the single photograph he is pictured in, he appears to wear a white long sleeved shirt, waistcoat, bowtie and trousers.

Personality

When speaking to Rean Schwarzer, Claire mentions that he reminds him of her brother, citing his kindness and similar age. He liked the rainy season, especially the start of it in May, and loved to study plants.

Background

Emil's life was taken in the same car accident that claimed the lives of Claire's parents. Claire uses Rean as a substitute for her brother, although eventually grows to stop comparing the two, thinking it disrespectful to the both of them. Michael Irving brings this up, but admits that it was out of line for him to bring Emil up.

Rean discovers a harmonica that belonged to Emil and gifts it to Claire. Michael, Isara and Claire had given Emil the harmonica for his birthday and had his name engraved upon it. He loved it but did not play it much. After his death they searched for it, but it was unable to be found until Rean discovered it in a pawn shop.

Emil is mentioned when a music box intended for the two groups of Rieveldt children is uncovered. The Eight-digit combination requires the favourite months of each of the four children arranged in birthdate order.
