Risette Twinings' story.
Background
In an undetermined event prior to the start of the start of 영웅전설 여의 궤적, Risette lost the use of several of her bodily appendages and needed orbal prosthetics, a technology in development and not normally in distribution. The Marduk Company covertly worked with Risette to develop the technology, using the parts salvaged from the remains of the Simulacrum Emperor. When it was asked, it was revealed that most of Risette's body is mechanical. The cost of these prosthetics is not cheap, and Risette is working to pay back the cost using her salary.
Risette is an employee of M.T.S.C and is employed as a service concierge. Unlike her graceful appearance, she has superhuman strength, speed, and combat capabilities that at times surpass even seasoned jaegers. Her relationship with Van Arkride is strictly professional, as she is in charge of distributing goods that MTSC would like Van to test, in exchange for his usage reports and data. Technology Van is testing include the Stun Caliber, hollow AI Mare and the Xipha.
Van had never met Risette in person, and had only spoken with her over the phone. That being said, they share mutual acquaintances back at the headquarters of MTSC in Ored State. When Van had visited there for training, he did not have the chance to see Risette in person.

Van communicates with Risette over the orbal net to deliver usage reports about his Stun Caliber and other technology he is helping Marduk field test. After the events involving Van and Grendel, Risette starts to become alert to the irregularities in the data she is receiving and inquires as to what the cause may be. Van is not forthcoming and this eventually leads to increasing concern by Marduk.
Risette is dispatched to assist Van in person following Marduk's assessment that an on-site service concierge would be beneficial. She makes a surprise appearance in Tharbad's waterways where she comes to the aid of the party against the Voracious Plant Monster: Hydria Nubia which had been empowered by a Genesis unit. The event featured a strange happenstance with Van's Grendel becoming crimson and malfunctioning, which Risette resolves. She comes into combat with an unknown angel like construct but is unable to apprehend it before it escapes with the Genesis. Risette introduces herself and henceforth joins the party in their efforts. She maintains a great interest in the phenomenon involving Mare and Grendel.
Risette proves to be a much welcomed addition to the Solutions Office and she quickly takes care of many outstanding household tasks and paperwork, handling all of Van's reports that were in danger of becoming overdue. She brings with her a Virtual Battle Simulator β Version which can influence the sense and create virtual environments, allowing the party to fight reproductions of strong opponents they had fought in the past. She maintains her contact with Marduk and acts in their interests, but not without looking after Van and the rest of the team. Elaine Auclair is suspicious of Van's motives bringing a 'beautiful maid' on board.
Risette accompanies the group to Basel, bringing with her strong technical knowledge and an insight into the technology world. She makes a move to save Quatre from the exploding Aurora supercomputer, taking the brunt of the blast and losing an arm and leg. It is revealed that these limbs are mechanical prosthetics however and Risette is similar to an android, with most of her body artificial. These events facilitate the arrival of Gilliam Thorndyke and MTSC in Basel and they take charge of Risette's recovery, with the cooperation of Esmeray Archette's leading medical knowledge.
Risette rejoins the party prior to their trip to Longlai, Quatre having taken over overseeing her recovery. She would also support the party in their efforts in Oración and assisting when Pandemonium overtakes the capital. Risette develops a pseudo-rivalry with Olympia of Almata, owing to their comparable circumstances of being 'puppet-like' or artificial. Risette is involved with retrieving Van from the Endless Expanse.
At the New year, Risette heads back to Ored and the MTSC headquarters to give her final report on Almata and get some regularly scheduled maintenance performed. There she reunites with her old acquaintance and they have tea together. She plans on renewing her contract with Van in the near future.

Risette returns as a major playable character. She joins up with Van and company in Langport.
She travels with Arkride Solutions to Nemeth Island and further bonds with Quatre over her perceived strengths and teaches Quatre how to swim. She overexerts herself and almost drowns in the sea.
Risette is a victim of the corrosion in Act 3 alongside Ferida and Kasim Al-Fayed. Risette. Due to her artificial body, she is able to tell something is wrong and later on obtains dual perceptions similar to Celis. She is unable to verify the manipulation feeling her senses aren't real thus continues to try and force rewinds(not forgetting about them yet) to see if they can give her proof that she can verify. Her corrosion is weakened by the group and she gets confidence from Van, freeing her. She is then left with Kasim as they go to help Feri.
영웅전설 계의 궤적
Risette first appears as part of Marduk's combat simulation exercise together with Kasim Al-Fayed, Rufus Albarea, Lapis Rosenberg and Bergard Zeman. All five are defeated by Kevin Graham and Van's combined team, concluding their trial.
Afterwards Risette resumes her duties as Arkride Solutions employee, where they investigate a number of disappearances within the capital in the days leading up to the rocket launch.
During one such investigation, she experiences a bout of panic attack and mental breakdown at the sight of an Executor, a mechanical lifeform later revealed to be controlled by masked individuals known as the Vestiges. This happens several times and renders her incapable of combat for a short time.
While staying in Anchorville, she and Van discover with the help of the local vicar that the cause of her mental breakdowns is PTSD and that there are memories involving the Executors, the ruined City Hall and possibly Shannon locked away in the deepest parts of her mind.
Having resolved the crisis in Anchorville, she and the rest of Arkride Solutions rush back to Edith to rescue Agnes, Renne and Dominique from government custody. To this end they infiltrate a top-secret facility underneath the Presidential Office dubbed the Control Center.
Risette is present at the very depths of the Control Center during the chain of events that ends with Kincaid's betrayal of President Gramheart and his subsequent reveal as another bearer of the Grendel form, the Grendel Shaddai.
