Background
She was the sister of 리스 아르젠트 and responsible for bringing 케빈 그라함 into the 시온의 집 orphanage in the midwestern city of Emerose. Until her death in S.1198, Rufina stayed by the side of her best friend and the 수호기사 she supported, 아인 셀너트.
Rufina was a patient and gentle person, who settled disputes through peace rather than force. Her unparalleled ability to choose the best decision out of a myriad of possibilities earned her the alias of "Thousand Arms". Rufina wielded both a templar sword and a bowgun, with a track record of never having lost a single battle. At one point on time she engaged in a battle with Loewe, who reckoned he had rarely been challenged at that level. Rufina herself described the outcome of the fight as a tie. Her prowess is also recognized by the fact that Ein Selnate never had to resort to her Stigma's power because she had Rufina by her side.
Five years prior to the start of the series, Rufina was seemingly killed in the line of duty during a raid by a 엽병 corps on Aster House. In reality, she sacrificed herself in order to save Ries and ease Kevin, whose Stigma awoke during the raid and was unable to distinguish Rufina and Ries from the jaegers.

After the events of 영웅전설 하늘의 궤적 the 3rd, 케빈 그라함 submits a request to replace his alias of "Heretic Hunter" with "Thousand-Arm Guardian", as a homage to Rufina.
영웅전설 계의 궤적
It's revealed during The History of a Certain Saint that 루피나 아르젠트 found Nina when she was 4 years old alone on the edge of the continant. When Rufina introduced herself asking who she was, this was the first time Nina had heard the language of Zemuria. Rufina could not understand the girl as she spoke a language not understood by Zemurians. Rufina took the girl back to 아르테리아 법국 to meet with her grandmother, 교황 Orestis (オレスティス) as the 외전 had inscrypted that a saint would appear shortly before the end of the world. It was believed that Nina had come from outside of Zemuria.
