Kasia Osborne's story.
Background
Kasia was born around S.1160.[Note 1]
She met her future husband, Giliath Osborne, around the age of 25. In that time, Giliath served in a garrison on the outskirts of Erebonia. Initially, he felt embarrassed to approach her because of their age gap of ten years. General Vandyck, however, served as a matchmaker and brought the two together.[1] Their son, Rean, was born in S.1186.
On the night of April 22 to 23, S.1192, Kasia was murdered in their house on the outskirts of Heimdallr, Erebonia. Jaegers hired by the pro-war faction within the Imperial Army of Erebonia lit their home on fire. Giliath, who wasn't home at the time of the attack, hurried home. He found Rean mortally wounded, penetrated by debris near his heart. As her dying wish, Kasia begged of him to make sure at least Rean would survive the attack. Giliath decided to transfer his own heart to Rean's body in order to save their son.[1]
After her death, Giliath built a grave for her at their old houses. After the Great War, Rean carved Giliath's name on the grave so that they could finally rest in peace together.
