월화류

Gekka (月華流(げっかりゅう)) is one of the three dominant martial arts schools taught in Calvard.

Background

Gekka is particularly popular in Langport where the main dojo is located. Bracer Xiao Lin acts as in instructor there as she is a descendent of the founding family. She is determined to get her brother Li Lian to take over the idea but he is not keen on the idea.

According to Xiao Lin, the essence of Gekka is not one of violence. A practitioner of Gekka should uphold justice and decorum.

Gekka is extremely popular amongst members of Heiyue, to the point where the style is regarded as almost synonymous with them.

According to legend, a young man defeated evil spirits in the Langport Sea Cave using Gekka.

Gaolang is regarded as Gekka's strongest practitioner.

Both of these techniques are incorporated into the 24 Form Style taught by Wang in Langport. Twin Moons is the 3rd form and Crescent Moon Stance is the 15th.

Trivia

• An Almata member mistakes Van for a practitioner of Gekka after witnesses his coin launching technique. However, Van uses Kunlun and corrects him.
