바리스 시국

Valis (ヴァリス市国) is a coastal city-state located in central east Zemuria.

History and Geography

Although a small nation, Valis developed rapidly in recent years. In its growth, it annexed the region of Qadas (カダス地方).

The city of Valis itself is stated to be massive, despite the small amount of territory. It is located south of the eastern region that borders the principality of Elsaim.

Government and Politics

International Relations

The Valis Investment Bank has invested heavily across the Zemurian continent. They are the primary shareholder in the Marduk Company and also had holdings in the Verne Company, investing into the development of the 6th generation orbment, Xipha. The cleaning robots present in the Trion Tower were developed by Valis.

They are investing heavily in seashore locations and have begun aggressive resort development in recent times. They have bought the trademark for the Mishy franchise. They have a massive fortune due to trade in the Southern Ocean.

It has close ties with Ored and is a major trading partner in the region. They are an ally and simultaneously a rival to Elsaim.

Culture

Valis export a high quality pomegranate named the 'nocturnal sun'. It's name is derived from its colour which is compared to a brilliant black light shining through the darkness. They also have a secret techniques for drying fruit for use in sweets.
