West Crossbell Highway (西クロスベル街道) is the highway connecting Crossbell City with Bellguard Gate and Erebonia.

Background

West Crossbell Highway cannot be accessed until the Special Support Section solve the case of the monster attacks happening at various locations across the state. Afterwards, a monster blocks the bus service from making its rounds to Bellguard Gate, which can be exterminated by the SSS before the Anniversary.

During the Anniversary Festival parades, Colin Hayworth goes missing. With the help of Renne, the SSS finds that Colin had entered a truck heading to Bellguard Gate, with its driver unaware. They find the truck stopped in the middle of the highway, with the driver telling them the child had gone further west while he was calling them. The SSS finds Colin near the gate to the Police Academy, and with Renne they reach in time to rescue him from wolves about to attack him.

• Finding Colin: After retracing Colin's steps, the SSS finds the truck stopped on the highway and has to find Colin further down the road.
• Illegal Parking Crackdown: The CPD asks the SSS to help with checking cars parked on the west and east exits.
• The Many Famous Views of Crossbell: The railing overlooking the train tracks in Map 3 is one of the locations to be photographed.
• Flowers for Fallen Friends: The Leevus flower can be found in Map 4, in front of the Police Academy gate.
• W. Crossbell Highway Monster Extermination (Chapter 4): Quetzalcoatl can be found in the south central par of Map 3.

Background

The reformed Special Support Section travel through the highway towards the Crossbell Police Academy, finding a large red-headed man looking at the tracks. The man asks Lloyd to count the number of people in the train crossing the tracks at that moment before leaving towards the city, after which they find the man has slaughtered the monsters described in a extermination request. Before continuing to the academy, they notify the First Division of the man they saw for identification.

After the SSS visits Rosenberg Studio, they are told about a train derailment next to the highway. They head to the site of the derailment to investigate, deducing that the incident was caused by a large monster, before a great roar coming from Knox Forest demands their attention.

Following Lloyd's escape from Knox Prison and his search for the rest of the SSS, they try to make their way to Bellguard Gate through the railroad, since the destruction of Garrelia Fortress the international train service has been stopped.

The railroad is the scene of the battle between Pater-Mater, Estelle, Joshua and Renne against Aion Type-γ. The former have difficulties facing off against the Aion, and after Renne is almost hit directly by the Aion's cannons, Pater-Mater takes hold of it and lift-offs to self-destruct, destroying the Aion and fatally injuring itself.
