리온 발타자르

리온 발타자르 (Rion Balthazar, リオン・バルタザール) is a knight of the Gralsritter of the Septian Church and occupies the seat of Eleventh Dominion. He is introduced in 영웅전설 여의 궤적, though plays a minor role in the plot of 영웅전설 시작의 궤적.

Appearance

Rion is a young man with a fairly androgynous appearance, with a slender build, lavender eyes and medium length wavy hair, with one side longer than the other. He wears a variation on the Gralsritter uniform, predominantly made up of a steel blue and gray color scheme.It features a blue tunic with a high collar, grey trousers with a fleur-de-lis motif which wrap around his pointed shoes, a grey coat with long tails and a short mantle. His medallion can be seen hanging around his neck. Rion uses a rapier variant of a Templar Sword.

Personality

In contrast to his travelling companion 셀리스 오르테시아, Rion is initially shown to be collected and diplomatic. Whilst not prone to explosive outburst, Rion makes snarky and derogatory comments instead, and is not shy about passive aggressive remarks. He enjoys raunchy movies, expressing his interest in Salvatore Gotch's work and R18 version of Golden Blood.

Like Celis, Rion was trained or mentored by 베르가르드 제먼. He occupies the seat of the eleventh dominion.

영웅전설 시작의 궤적

Rion is one of the many Dominions who pilot their Merkabahs in the final battle against Elysium and the Retributive Tower. He is not seen in person, or mentioned by name, with the game's main cast unaware of who was in it.

영웅전설 여의 궤적

Alongside Celis, Rion is active in the effort to defeat Almata. During this time, the two of them are shown to have a hostile relationship with Ashrad, a member of the Papal Guard, which is not aligned with the Gralsritter. They are first introduced when 반 아크라이드 meets with representatives from several other groups to discuss Almata, Ashrad amongst them. They depart soon after. Van can later find the two in Bermotti's.

Rion and Celis take part in Almata's death game in Oración, first coming into combat against Ashrad and Iscariot. They engage their stigmas but Bergard intervenes and breaks up the fight. Discovering he was actually alive, they decide not to fight and move on. Van and company meet up with her later in the city and she mocks Iscariot for both units being defeated at once. He explains their primary objective in the city is the recovery of artifacts used by Almata and Garden. Later, the pair of Dominions face off against either Hasan Al-Fayed or Geraint Leger but are forced to withdraw from the game after Arioch makes an appearance. He makes one more appearance after the game to take over the battle against Arioch's Fang of Ragou and makes it out when the Vashtar Palace Ruins explode.

Both Celis and Rion have undisclosed business in the capital in the lead up to Revolution Day, with some part of this being rounding up remnants of Almata. Father Orwell lets them use his chapel as a base of operations. He arrives too late to stop Amdo-Jiliath when it manifests below Edith, sensing the presence of an arch-devil, having been beaten by Van's party. He attends the celebration party at the Montmart Bistro. On Revolution Day, Rion moves independently from Celis and has a chat with Gotch about his films. When Pandemonium envelops Edith, Rion explains the phenomenon to Van and its source- the book of Ezer. He has a chance to meet back alley doctor Isabelle and the two immediately find common ground in their love for dissection, although he warns he not to implant anything into humans.

In the New Year, he heads back to Arteria with Bergard and meets with other dominions.
