앙기스

The Anguis (蛇の使徒(アンギス)), also known in English as the Snake Apostles, is the collective name of 우로보로스' upper echelons. The Anguis consist of seven members in total. They are in charge of the strategic planning and command of the final phase of the 오르페우스 최종계획, drafted by their absolute leader the 그랜드 마스터.

Overview

The Anguis are high ranking members of Ouroboros selected by Grandmaster herself. Their primary duty is overseeing and conducting course of action behind the scene for each phase of the Orpheus Final Plan such as Weissman being in charge completing the Gospel Plan and Vita being in charge of the Phantasmal Blaze Plan.

It is implied that the Anguis do not share the same freedoms as the Enforcers, as 엘로이 하우드 was known to "toeing" the rules set by the Grandmaster. Although the Anguis are the high ranking members of the society they do not have the right to order a Enforcer around if they refuse to follow any of the Anguis orders as stated by the First Anguis when Professor Norvartis expressed displeasure about the Enforcer having too much freedom.

As they are vital to the Grandmaster's plans, if an Anguis unexpectedly dies while executing them, the Grandmaster will look for a replacement.

The First Anguis

The position of First Anguis is occupied by an unknown man, who serves as the mediator between the Grandmaster and the other Anguis and reports the progress of Ouroboros' plans to the Grandmaster. While his identity and whereabouts are currently unknown, he speaks in a polite manner.

The Second Anguis

The position of Second Anguis is currently filled by 비타 클로틸드, Witch of the Abyss. Vita is a bewitching 24-year old woman, whom was first heard speaking in 영웅전설 하늘의 궤적 the 3rd and revealed as an Anguis in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적. Prior to her reveal, she was encountered as an opera singer using the same name, and as the popular radio show host Misty. She is a descendant of the 마녀의 권속, which has played an important role in the history of 에레보니아.

The Third Anguis

The position of Third Anguis was originally filled by 게오르그 와이스만 the Faceless before his death. Weismann was a 37-year old bespectacled man whose real name is not known. He was addressed by the 집행자 as "Professor" and was in charge of the 복음계획. He was also able to manipulate the memories and consciousness of his targets, in which he found great pleasure. His weapon, a staff forged through 바깥의 이치, is capable of manipulating the attribute of space. Shortly after his defeat in 영웅전설 하늘의 궤적 SC, Weissmann attempted to flee with the Aureole in his possession, but was cornered and executed by Kevin Graham, who shot him with a piece of the 소금 말뚝. The Aureole was promptly taken by Campanella, who, in turn, gave it to the Grandmaster.

Presently, the position of Third Anguis is filled by 마리아벨 크로이스, the daughter of 크로스벨 국제은행 president 디터 크로이스. She was the mastermind behind the 푸른 제로의 계획 and a descendant of the Crois family, who have been trying to recreate the Demiourgos, the Sept-Terrion of Mirage, through the means of alchemy. She was invited to Ouroboros by Grandmaster in order to succeed Weissmann as the Third Anguis.

The Fourth Anguis

The position of Fourth Anguis is currently occupied by 엘로이 하우드, the Thousand Oathbreaker. Ellroy Harwood is a criminal specialist who acts according to his own desires and is also referred to as a sinner or heretic. A dialogue between the First and Seventh Anguis in 영웅전설 벽의 궤적 says that he took over some task from the Seventh before the latter came to Crossbell. Like Enforcers 루크레치아 이슐레 and 샤론 클루거, he is a former member of the 월광목마단 who joined Ouroboros following its downfall.

The Fifth Anguis

The position of Fifth Anguis is currently occupied by someone whose voice is indicative of him being an older man. He scouted 발터 크론 into the Society, and the Septian Church does not know much about him.

The Sixth Anguis

The position of Sixth Anguis is currently filled by F. 노바르티스. Known as an old mad scientist, he is the leader of the 13공방. He is willing to resort to sacrifices to satisfy his own intellectual interests.

The Seventh Anguis

The position of Seventh Anguis was originally filled by 아리안로드, the Steel Maiden before her death. Her true identity is Lianne Sandlot, a knight who aided Dreichels Reise Arnor in winning the War of the Lions 250 years prior to the events of Trails of Cold Steel. She is known for her flowing blonde hair and her use of a massive lance as her primary weapon. Arianrhod aided in the Crossbell portion of the Phantasmal Blaze Plan, largely in a supervisory role. In 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III, she played an active role in Ouroboros's attempts to reclaim the Phantasmal Blaze Plan from Giliath Osborne, partaking in the society's Aion experiments and leading a takeover of Juno Fortress. It was during this time she was also revealed to be the Awakener of Argreion, the Argent Knight. In 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV, she participated in the Rivalries and was ultimately defeated by Rean Schwarzer and Crow Armbrust. Although Class VII convinced Arianrhod to aid them in their cause, she was unexpectedly killed by Rufus Albarea, who also stole Argreion's power before departing. Arianrhod, for her part, transferred the last of her own power to Rean and Valimar before fading away.

Presently, the position of Seventh Anguis is unoccupied. The Grandmaster managed to find a candidate for the spot, but the candidate has yet to give her a response.

Novartis had made mentioned a new Seventh Anguis.

Trivia

• Renne states during an NPC dialogue in 영웅전설 여의 궤적 that Harwood takes pleasure in "toeing the line that the Grandmaster has set". This suggests that the Anguis, unlike the Enforcers, do not have the freedom to do as they please.
