Background
The Imperial Liberation Front was founded late S.1190s by 크로우 암브러스트, who blamed Chancellor 길리아스 오스본 and his expansionist policies for the death of his grandfather, his last living relative, and the deterioration of his hometown, 줄라이 in West 에레보니아.

Although Crow was convinced that the Chancellor was not inherently evil, he could not separate his methods from the problems prevalent in Erebonia. Crow diligently studied Erebonia's problems and sought ways to put the situation into his advantage. Crow recruited like-minded members; 발칸, who had lost his jaeger corps Arngarmr after being hired by 루퍼스 알바레아 to kill Osborne, 스칼렛, who lost her family due to Osborne's policies, and 미하엘 기데온, a former academic who wrote books criticising Osborne and the direction he was taking the country.
The Imperial Liberation Front was ultimately founded with financial support of Duke Cayenne, leader of the 사대명문 who saw Osborne as a threat to his power. Their main goal was to restore the government to previous (unspecified) situation without the expansionist policies of Osborne, whom they perceived as a dictator.

The ILF made their first appearance in the events of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 as a mysterious organization that sought to overthrow Osborne's government. Michael was the first to encounter Class VII during his mission in the 노르드 고원, and the class would quickly prove to be a nuisance for the group.
During the 헤임달 Summer Festival, the ILF kidnapped 알핀 라이제 아르노르 and 엘리제 슈바르처 in an attempt to use them as bargaining chips with the government, but were stalled by Class VII, so they released the two, but not before informing them of their organization's name.

They wouldn't make an appearance again until the 서 제무리아 통상회의, where Michael led a suicidal attack on the conference after his flute had been destroyed during the Heimdallr incident. Vulcan and Scarlet used the diversion to attack 갈레리아 요새 to seize the two railway guns and fire them at the conference as Osborne was there, but were foiled once again by Class VII.
After the failed attack, the group seized the 작센 철광산, where Crow, disguised as C, faked his death in order to throw the Intelligence Agency and the 철도헌병대 off his trail.
During the school festival, Crow made his way to Heimdallr and sniped Osborne through the chest, starting the 10월 전역, and apparently fulfilling the goals of the organization.
영웅전설 벽의 궤적
The ILF technically make their first appearance in this game, but the events happen concurrently with those of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적. At the 서 제무리아 통상회의 held in Crossbell's 오르키스 타워, the ILF and the anti-immigration terrorists from Calvard launch a joint offensive on the tower. They are repelled by both the defenders of the tower, SSS and the 붉은 성좌, who mercilessly gun them down in the area beneath the tower with Gideon killed with them, leaving only one survivor.
영웅전설 섬의 궤적 II
With their purpose gone, the Imperial Liberation Front appeared to have disbanded. Vulcan committed suicide while fighting Rean's Valimar at the 흑룡관; Scarlet attempted the same, but Rean refused to let her die and saved her. Crow continued working for the Noble Alliance, but took a fatal blow while fighting off the Vermillion Apocalypse with Rean and Valimar. Osborne revealed himself to be alive following Crow's death, revealing that his attempt to kill him failed, and that the incident essentially allowed Osborne to create a dictatorship that they were trying to avoid.
영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV
The ILF has long disbanded, but Crow's visits to relatives and sites related to his former comrades are part of his 'last business'. This includes visiting Gideon's grandmother.
영웅전설 시작의 궤적
A different "C" leads a new version named the "Reborn Imperial Liberation Front". 스윈 아벨, 나디아 레인, and 라피스 로젠베르크 are also part of the group and were referred as "S", "N", and "LP". Nadia jokingly calls them the "Imperial Picnicking Front".
영웅전설 여의 궤적 II
르네 킨케이드 mentions he knows Swin and Nadia were part of the "Imperial Picnicking Front", meaning Nadia's joke alternate name was effective. The game's official site refers to Swin and Nadia as still being a members of the group, though Nadia's lists hers as being a member of the "Imperial Picnicking Front".[1][2]
영웅전설 계의 궤적
Rufus, Swin, Nadia, and Lapis are all listed as members of the Imperial Picnicking Front in the Connect section of Van's notebook. 케빈 그라함 and 시므온 mention they knew of the the Picnicking Front, showing further how Nadia's joke name become the name they were actually known by. Nadia mentions she wants to abandon the name, as she no longer found it fitting. NIS America also referred to them as such on social media when promoting the game.[3]
