The Schwarz Drache Barrier is a military installation located southwest of Roer. It marks the border of the Nortia Province with the area surrounding the capital, Heimdallr.

Background
During the October War the Schwarz Drache Barrier became the headquarters from where Marquis Rogner commanded the Nortia Provincial Army.
After Angelica Rogner and Class VII's operation to free Irina Reinford and the Reinford Building from Heidel Rogner, they meet with Angelica's supporters in the Provincial Army at a secluded location. Angelica boards a purple Drakkhen and marches with the rest to the Barrier while Class VII watches from the Courageous as she issues a direct challenge to the Marquis to stand down from the war.
Marquis Rogner accepts the challenge and duels Angelica on a black Hector, fighting in hand to hand combat. Angelica is able to defeat her father using her Taito skills, with him acknowledging Angelica's strength, but before he can make peace with his daughter, Vulcan intercedes on his experimental Goliath Soldat, knocking Angelica down and demanding a fight with Valimar. Rean obliges and is able to defeat Vulcan, but the overexertion the duel put on the Goliath's reactor causes it to overload. Vulcan calmly accepts his demise as Rean is unable to do anything but watch the Goliath explode.
With Marquis Rogner accepting his defeat, the Nortia Provincial Army leaves the Noble Alliance, becoming a neutral party in the civil war and letting the 3rd Armored Division through the Barrier during the Imperial Army's final assault on Heimdallr.
