Aurochs Fort (オーロックス砦) is a military installation located east of the Kreuzen provincial capital, Bareahard. It serves as the main base for the Kreuzen Provincial Army.

Background
Class VII's Group A arrives at Aurochs Fort to report a monster extermination. On the way, they see Achtzehn tanks being delivered by train, with Fie also noting the fort has been renovated and fortified. The upgrades to the Provincial Army firepower are confirmed by the soldiers on Jusis' prompting.
After leaving, the group sees a girl fleeing the fort using a flying doll, with several soldiers chasing, noting to the students that the fort had been infiltrated.

Background
Being the Kreuzen Provincial Army's headquarters, Aurochs Fort is a major stronghold for the Noble Alliance during the October War, keeping Bareahard under the control of Duke Albarea. However, Chief of Staff Rufus Albarea controls the army outside of the sections garrisoned in the fort.
After Celdic's razing by the Northern Jaegers on orders of Duke Albarea, the 4th Armored Division that previously took control of the Twin Dragons Bridge prepares a joint operation with the Railway Military Police and the Courageous to assault Bareahard and arrest the duke. With Rufus and the Noble Alliance cutting ties with them, the duke is isolated at the fort.
When the Imperial Army and the RMP begin their two-pronged assault on the city, Aurochs Fort sends most of their garrison to hold it, giving the Courageous an opportunity to assault the fort directly. There, Rean and Valimar face Scarlet in an experimental Kestrel. Valimar defeats her, with the Soldat's reactor overloading like Vulcan's did, but Rean is able to cut the cockpit and separate it before the reactor explodes. Rean notices Crow and Ordine were watching, and exchanges a few words before leaving.
At the entrance of the fort, Class VII comes face to face with the Northern Jaegers, but Sara Valestein decides to fight them on their own. The jaegers recognize Sara as Colonel Valestein's daughter, revealing her past in North Ambria. After the battle, the jaegers decide their contract with Duke Albarea is finished and leave on their own, while Sara is too exhausted to continue.
Class VII reaches the duke's office, finding him with Duvalie and McBurn. However, McBurn refuses to fight and leaves Duvalie to face Class VII alone with her archaisms. After being defeated, Duvalie refuses to help the duke and leaves him to be arrested by the group. Following the arrest, Duke Albarea and Scarlet are confined to the Albarea Mansion in Bareahard, under control of the Imperial Army, while Jusis orders the part of the Kreuzen Provincial Army that didn't remain with Rufus to stand down.
