Black Zemurian Ore appears for the first time, being described as a rare variation which is more durable than the normal form of the ore. Professor Schmidt postulates that it is ordinary Zemurian Ore that has been changed by some outside factor<ref name=Sen3-060718/>. Schmidt relies on Professor Russell's research from the Liber-Ark incident to devise a method of working this new material.
