Background
After the explosion of 제라르 당테스' nuclear weapon in 끌레이유, an observation of 딩고 브래드, who died in the blast, was made by the eighth Genesis by means of a network connection to the seventh Genesis present in Creil. Dingo had regrets as he passed and these were all observed and recorded. This copy of Dingo had limited means of communicating with the living, but was able to get a message out to 반 아크라이드 via the orbal network, warning him about the seventh Genesis's appearance on the day of the Revolution Festival.
At some point after, the 가든 마스터 took possession of the eighth Genesis and took the copied Dingo under his control, using the Genesis to create a shard copy for him to manifest. To allow him to transform into the shard form Grendel Zolga, the Gardenmaster also took control of the AI 라피스 로젠베르크, as she was the only one capable of performing the complex calculations. Grendel Zolga was largely used to further the Gardenmaster's ambitions and slaughter indiscriminately, but moments of control allow him to regain the ability to act independently and send messages.
According to 니나 펜리 of the 이스카리오, they hunt those of Zolga's kind.

Zolga makes his debut appearance slaughtering the Gamma unit of 허큘리스, with Altera present. Some of this footage is recorded and the CID, Bracer Guild, and police mount a joint operation after several such killings have taken place. 일레인 오클레르 teams up with Van to investigate, particularly because of the similarities between Zolga and Van's own Grendel. They confront the being in Edith within a military base after René asks for their assistance, but Zolga kills both of them. With Agnès's Oct-Geneses, time is reset and this is avoided with Van and Elaine teaming up with René and Agnès earlier, whilst also remembering the dodge the critical blow.
Grendel Zolga is present with the 가든 마스터 in the hidden basement beneath 아라미스 고등학교. He is often seen by the side of the Gardenmaster, including at the 트라이언 타워 and from within the 허백의 언정. Zolga appears beside the Gardenmaster on 네메스 섬 and fights the party and later once again in the Hollow Gardens, after which he disappears.
Sending a message to Van to meet him, Van and the party traverse the 옥트 라듐 where they meet him at the end. Van suspects his true identity, having pieced it together, but due to the nature of his existence, Grendel Zolga must first be 'observed' before he can reveal himself. From the fact that his messages were written in such a detail-oriented and professional manner, along with encountering shard replicas of Zin and Kilika, and the fact that the letter C goes between the letters D and B in the alphabet, Van names him as Dingo Brad. Dingo explains the nature of the eighth Genesis as an observer of sin and claims that if he is not defeated, all of the unwanted observations, the 침식 events from the last three days, will come to pass. Zolga is defeated once and for all when Van interrupts his S-Craft and Dingo fades. He is able to say his farewells to 마리엘 에이메 thanks to quick intervention from 라토야 해밀턴 and 루퍼스 알바레아.
Grendel Zolga has some sort of connection with Hamilton, as revealed in the extra ending scene of the game...

When 시므온 and 캄파넬라 approach 케빈 그라함's group in the Antikythera Tower Ruins, they ask them to give them the data they had got from the ruins. Kevin's group refuses, and so Simeon creates a black copy of the Grendel Zolga, named Grendel Zolga Nahat. He has it attack the group, with it joining 캄파넬라 in battle against them. He begins transforming it into its SiN form during the fight, but stops when he notices 라피스 로젠베르크 had finished analyzing the data. The two end up seeing the data alongside Kevin's group. After seeing 라토야 해밀턴 had taken water from the future, they decide to kill Kevin's group to prevent them from killing her - but they're able to escape thanks to the help of the Ivory Eschaton Saint.
