Roland Vander (ロラン・ヴァンダール) was a childhood friend and confidant of Dreichels Reise Arnor.[1] When Dreichels migrated to Nord Highlands in S.946, he left Roland in charge of things in his place.[1] Roland is known for his exceptional dual wielding skills.[2]
Profile
It was S.949 when Roland Vander arrived on horseback at Nord Highlands to meet with Prince Dreichels. Roland's armor bore many rents and scratches and his left arm was bound in a bloody bandage, outcomes of the War of the Lions that had been raging on for two years already. Roland convinced Dreichels to return to Erebonia.[1] Dreichels and Roland returned to Erebonia the next morning, accompanied by sixteen knights of Nord who volunteered to assist him.[1]
Roland was killed in the course of the War of the Lions while protecting Prince Dreichels in S.950.[3][4] Roland left behind a son, whom Dreichels would look after as one of his own children.[4] Roland's son grew up to become an important military officer, one who served as both guardian and martial arts instructor.[4] Roland's swords survived the test of time and were eventually discovered by his descendants. His memories remained imprinted on his swords and he supported Mueller Vander in spirit to see if Kurt Vander could inherit his swords.
