수첩
- 8/30 (Mon) Field Study at Garrelia Fortress - Day 1
- The next morning, we were set to leave Legram. Klaus bade us farewell, and we set off for the station to travel to Garrelia Fortress.
- Before we boarded the train, though, we made sure to say goodbye to the locals.
- We boarded the train and departed Legram for Garrelia Fortress.
- While we were changing trains at Celdic, we found the station under heavy Railway Military Police security...which made sense once we saw the Eisengraf pass through.
- We met up with Group B and our instructor, and together we boarded another train that took us directly to Garrelia Fortress.
- The fortress was a mass of iron and concrete-- a unified, impenetrable structure that perfectly embodied the crushing might of the military.
- Major Neithardt briefed us on what we'd be doing during our time here. We'd been assigned to observe a joint military exercise conducted by the 4th and 5th Armored Divisions.
- We ate...food, technically...in the mess hall, and learned about the Imperial Army's method of acting as though they're on a battlefield at all times.
- We were then given the freedom to do whatever we wanted until the military exercise. It was a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the fortress, so I decided to see all I could.
- After touring the fortress, we took an armored car to the training grounds. There, we met the commanding officer of the 4th Armored Division, Lieutenant General Craig--Elliot's father.
- After we greeted him, the exercise began. We were overwhelmed as we watched Achtzehn main battle tanks annihilating old model tanks with live ammunition. It was nothing short of a pure display of raw power.
- As we were downheartedly working our way through dinner, Instructor Sara popped in to tell us that we'll be taking look at the railway guns tomorrow.
- We are students of a military academy, so we do have a duty to understand of the kind of military strength this country possesses...
- 8/31 (Tue) Field Study at Garrelia Fortress - Day 2
- We expected the keynote session of the trade conference to proceed as planned, but then we received word that the Imperial Liberation Front had arrived in Crossbell.
- I'm worried about Towa and Prince Olivert, but it seems as though the Intelligence Division has a plan to deal with the situation.
- The Intelligence Division was able to ascertain the identity of one of the terrorists: Gideon, or G, who we'd faced off with in the past.
- The identities of S, V and C, meanwhile, are still under investigation, the identity the masked C proving the most difficult to narrow down.
- Our special lecture finished, we set off to tour the railway guns, but on the way, Instructor Neithardt received a call informing him that the trade conference had been attacked.
- When we heard the news, a heavy tension filled the air...but we had problems of our own at Garrelia Fortress: a number of Achtzehn tanks had started to act on their own.
- Taking advantage of the confusion, two of the Imperial Liberation Front's airships invaded the fortress. It was clear what their target was, too: the two railway guns.
