Our First Field Study (初めての特別実習) is a story quest that occurs during 제1장 "신학기 ~첫 실습~" in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적.

Background

The quest is automatically acquired on 4/24, after completing Academy Life - April.

Walkthrough

1. Enter Trista Station and speak with Employee Matilda.
2. In the train, speak with Elliot to unlock Blade.
3. Examine all requests.
4. In the inn, speak with Instructor Sara on the 1st floor.
5. Complete East Celdic Highway Monster and Any Bright Ideas?.
6. Return to Celdic and walk to the Grand Market for a scene.
7. Head to the Weathercock Inn.

4/24 (Sat) Field Study at Celdic - Day 1

• This morning, I was finally able to reconcile with Alisa before setting off for our field study.
• With that off my shoulders, it was time for us to leave. We got ready and headed for the station.
• We arrived at the station just as Group B were leaving for Parm. I was a little nervous about how Machias and Jusis will be together, but I had bigger things to be concerned about.
• We bought our tickets to Celdic from the counter.
• We purchased our tickets and boarded a train bound for Crossbell. It seemed like the station staff had been forewarned about our field study.
• It's took us about an hour to reach our destination. To pass the time, Alisa told us all about Celdic and its market.
• Just as we were wondering what Instructor Sara had planned for us there, she appeared out of nowhere. While she claimed she'd come to answer our group's questions, she fell asleep the moment she sat down in her seat... She's a special one.
• When we finally reached Celdic, Instructor Sara guided to us to the inn where we'd be staying.
• There, we found that we would all be staying in one room, regardless of gender. Alisa didn't take too kindly to this, but after Laura admonished her, she reluctantly accepted the arrangement.
• Afterwards, we received an envelope containing information on the tasks we would be completing from the inn's owner--all of which were menial to say the least, just helping people with one thing or another.
• We decided to go and ask the instructor, who was on the first floor of the inn, about them.
• It seems as though the aim of these field studies is somewhat related to the assistance I gave the Student Council on my last free day... We can't be sure what exactly Instructor Sara is planning, but we decided to get started on our tasks regardless. This should be a good chance to learn more about Celdic, at the very least.
• Two of the tasks are mandatory, but it's up to us whether we want to complete the others.
• We stepped into famous Celdic Grand Market and thought it wouldn't hurt to do a bit of shopping while we're working through our assignments. (Optional)
• We ran into the Kreuzen Provincial Army while they were patrolling the town. They warned us not to cause any trouble.
• Outside the Lunaria Nature Park, we encountered a couple of park rangers. Apparently, the area is off limits right now. (Optional)
• We completed the mandatory request from the orbal factory!
• We exterminated a monster on the East Highway. Man, these combat links come in handy.
• We've finished all of the mandatory tasks and headed back to the inn to talk to Instructor Sara.
• On our way back to the inn, we heard a commotion coming from the Grand Market. We made a detour over there before we went back to the inn.
• We found two merchants arguing with each other. Supposedly, they'd both been assigned the same spot in the market.
• Fortunately, the market manager arrived, and with his help, we were able to calm them down before anyone got hurt. They were told to take take turns using the spot for the time being.
• The market manager invited us to his house and revealed that he was the one who chose the tasks for our field study. Apparently, he's an old friend of Principal Vandyck's.
• It seems the quarrel earlier may have come about as a result of a tax dispute between Jusis' family and the merchants of Celdic. The provincial army, which serves Duke Albarea, refuses to help the people of Celdic until the dispute's resolved.
• None of us were happy to hear that, but with all the work we have planned for tomorrow, all we could do was go back to the inn and get some rest.
• We walked out of the market manager's house and right into Instructor Sara. She said she was off to sort things out over with Group B. Leaving the next steps of our field study completely to us, she departed for the station.
• Deciding it would be best to have dinner early and start working on our report, we made a beeline for the inn.
• We had a great chat over a dinner of freshly grown local produce. Just as we were on our way back to our rooms, however, Laura called out to me. She figured out that I'm a practitioner of the Eight Leaves One Blade school, but she expected me to be stronger than I actually am. ...I feel as though I've let her down.
