Father Paulo's worried about someone, and his concerns are only getting worse with the battle in Heimdallr looming large...
We better help him investigate!

Absentee Father (教区長の頼み) is a hidden quest that occurs during 종장 "그저 한결같이, 앞으로" of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 II.

Background

The quest is automatically obtained after checking the terminal on the Courageous on 12/31.

The quest expires after starting the operation during Liberating Karel.

Walkthrough

  1. Travel to Trista and speak with Father Paulo in the chapel.
  2. Speak with Father Zirbel in the Celdic chapel.
  3. Speak with Archbishop Amon in the Bareahard Cathedral.
  4. Speak with Father Hamilcar in the Legram chapel.
  5. Speak with Archbishop Homs in the Roer cathedral.
  6. Speak with Father Bernard in the Ymir chapel.
    • If Gaius is in the party, the letter will include a postscript that addresses him specifically. Gaius will also give some backstory about the priest.

Notebook

  • Father Paulo told us that a traveling priest headed out toward the church in Celdic, and so he asked us to go see if he'd made it.
  • We reached Celdic and asked Father Zirbel about the traveling priest. He confirmed that the priest in question arrived safely but had already set off to Bareahard Cathedral. Well, where he leads, we will follow.
  • We traveled to Bareahard and spoke to Archbishop Amon, only to learn the traveling priest had already left for Legram Chapel. Dang, he's fast.
  • We arrived in Legram and spoke to Father Hamilcar, who told us that the priest had already left for Roer Cathedral. Okay, this is just getting ridiculous now...
  • We spoke to Archbishop Homs in Roer Cathedral, who confirmed that the traveling priest had-- shocker--already come and gone. He's off to Ymir this time, apparently. I will find you, priest. You can count on that.
  • We arrived in Ymir and spoke to Father Bernard. It turns out, the traveling priest had left us a letter, which was written almost as if the priest was aware of our every move. In it, he said that he was bound for western Erebonia, and he asked us to tell Father Paulo that he is safe and unharmed.
  • We still have no idea who this priest is or how he managed to stay ahead of us, but it doesn't look as though we're going to get any answers today. Still, at least we were able to put Father Paulo's mind at ease.
