Part 1: Apparently there are multiple reports from people witnessing a 'white shadow' at night all across the Ruan region.
This case is really weird... That's exactly why it might be related to the society. We'll investigate immediately.

Part 2: There were three direction the white shadow departed towards...
Those directions prove there's a possibility the white shadow is coming from Jenis Royal Academy.

Part 3: The white shadow flew off to the old schoolhouse.

White Shadow Case (『白い影』の調査) is a required story quest that occurs during 제1장 "소리 없이 다가오는 그림자" in 영웅전설 하늘의 궤적 SC.

Background

The quest is given by Jean after completing Ruan Branch Assistance.

Walkthrough

Part 1

1. Exit the Bracer Guild and head to the Raven Gang's Hideout in the Ruan South Block for a battle.
2. Head inside the southeastern house of the South Block for a scene, then head upstairs and speak with Belden.
3. Travel to Air-Letten through the Aurian Causeway and speak with CWO Hahn at the eastern end on the 1st floor, then climb to the 2nd floor and speak with Private Nix.
4. Travel to the Mercia Orphanage through Gull Seaside Way for a scene, then travel to Manoria Village and examine the door of the windmill.
   • PARTY: Kevin joins only until returning to the city.
5. Travel back to Ruan and enter the Bracer Guild for a scene, then head to the Langland Bridge for another scene.
   • PARTY: Olivier joins.
   • BONUS: When asked about the white shadow, choose the following:
     • Where the white shadow went (+3 BP)

Part 2

1. Travel to the Jenis Royal Academy through Vista Forest Road and enter for a scene.
   • PARTY: Kloe joins.
2. Do the following in any order:
   • Speak with Patrick in the 2nd floor of the Schoolhouse
   • Speak with Mickey in the Humanities Classroom
   • Speak with Felicity and Reina in the Girls' Dormitory
   • Step onto the stage in the Auditorium
3. Head to the Student Council Room in the 2nd floor of the Clubhouse.

Part 3

1. Open the back gate and head to the Old Schoolhouse for a scene and the first clue.
2. Enter, climb the east stairs and examine the south lantern (without a flame) for the second clue.
3. Head into the south classroom of the 1st floor and examine the desk directly facing the blackboard for the third clue.
4. Head outside from the 2nd floor to the garden terrace, and examine the broken plant base for the fourth clue and a Rusted Key.
5. Head to the south hallway of the 1st floor, open the metal door and examine the dragon statue.
6. Climb down to the 1st basement and head through the west entrance for a battle.
7. Head to the 2nd basement and head north for a battle.
8. Enter the room at the eastern end for a battle.

  • Reunited with Matron Theresa! The kids are in Manoria Village. We'll escort them back, then ask.
  • Polly and Daniel's Testimony: Saw it 4 days ago after dinner. The shadow bowed and went east.

• In order to confirm this, we've headed to the royal academy.
• We've all agreed to take on our own roles in this investigation.
• We'll be interviewing the students.
• Info from Patrick: The white silhouette he saw out his window disappeared towards the back of the school.
• Information from Mickey: Human silhouette, white colored, seen behind the schoolhouse. It flew over the back gate.
• Info from Reina: The shadow that appeared vanished towards the back of the school.
• Think we've got enough testimonies. Back to the student council room!
• The shadow flew off towards the old schoolhouse. Let's hurry!

Part 3

• Arrived at the old schoolhouse.
• There was a card on the door!

   - 'The first curse is in the great room. The hollow flame shall guide thee.'

• Found a card in a candlestick!

   - 'The second curse is within the classroom. Seek the south-facing student.'

• Found the next card in a desk!

   - 'The third curse lies within the garden. Seek ye the fallen neck.'

• Found a rusted key in the garden! Let's find a place for this key.
• Found stairs leading underground!
• Mystery solved. The white shadow was a hologram created in a test of a new model Gospel by an Enforcer of the society.
• Phantom Thief Bleublanc is a total weirdo, but there's no doubt he's strong.
• This resolves events in Ruan.
