Field Study at the Nord Highlands (ノルド高原での実習) is a story quest that occurs during 제3장 "선로를 넘어서 ~창궁의 대지~" in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적.
Background
The quest is automatically acquired on 6/27, after completing Journey to a Foreign Land.
Walkthrough
- Examine all requests.
- Complete Turning Over a New Leaf and Return to Zender.
- Return to the Nomadic Settlement and enter the Worzel Home for a scene.
- Examine all requests.
- Complete Cameraman Caravan.
- Travel to Lake Lacrima and enter the cabin for a scene, then walk down the cabin stairs for a scene.

- 6/27 (Sun) Field Study at Nord - Day 2
- We woke up early, and, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, received the envelope containing our field study tasks. Our tasks for the morning are concentrated around the southwest area of the highlands.
- The two mandatory tasks are the request from Zender Gate and the request from the settlement's doctor. We got started right away, putting the horses we were borrowing to good use.
- We visited the stone circle in the southwest part of the highlands. Apparently, it's a relic of the Neolithic civilization that lived here in the highlands over a thousand years ago. I wonder how they managed to build it...
- We fulfilled the request from the settlement's doctor!
- We fulfilled the request from Zender Gate!
- Once we'd finished all of the mandatory tasks for the morning, we went back to Gaius' home to prepare for our afternoon tasks.
- After enjoying a fulfilling lunch together, Lacan gave us our tasks for the afternoon.
- These requests had us going into the northern part of the highlands, significantly expanding the area we needed to cover. Our first order of business: visiting the elder and helping him with his request.
- Once we'd confirmed the particulars of the elder's request, we got to work on all of the tasks we'd been assigned that afternoon.
- We found ourselves before an ancient quarry. Legend says that there is an 'evil djinn' sealed there--which is easy to believe given the foreboding atmosphere of the place.
- We couldn't go inside the quarry, but I'm pretty sure I felt a strange presence in there...
- We arrived at Lake Lacrima. Home of...a hermit, apparently.
- He wasn't in when we checked, though, so we got right back to work.
- We escorted Norton the cameraman back to the settlement, only to learn that there had been a car accident.
- The man driving the car hadn't suffered any significant injuries, but it was still the only orbal vehicle in the village, so it was a significant loss to have it out of commission. Luckily, Alisa took a look at it and deemed it reparable.
- Lacan and Elder Ivan hurried to the scene and asked us to find someone who could repair it. We took it in stride as yet another task on our field study.
- They asked us to get in touch with an elderly hermit who knew his orbal technology. Apparently, he's originally from the Empire, and now lives alongside Lake Lacrima.
- We didn't see him there earlier, but he might be back. Doesn't hurt to make a return trip!
- Our next stop was Lake Lacrima, to the northwest of the statue of the Guardian.
- Once we'd arrived at the lake, we started looking for the hermit.
- We arrived at the cabin, a carefree old man named Gwyn welcomed us inside. The cabin's interior showed us that he was a man of his hobbies. Oh, but more importantly (and more shockingly), he's Alisa's grandfather!
- We learned that Alisa's mother told him about how we were going to be in Nord. Alisa's clearly had something on her mind ever since then... Could it have something to do with Gwyn?
- Gwyn left the cabin with Gaius, leaving the rest of us inside. We followed them out to the garage.
- Gwyn gathered his tools, and then we set off for the settlement, with Gwyn riding with me.
- On the way back, Gwyn told me that he thinks the conflict between him and Irina is the reason Alisa tries to handle all of her problems herself. That's why he never told her where he'd gone, either.
- Gwyn was able to repair the orbal car, and the villagers threw all of us a banquet. Partway through, Alisa stepped outside, and I followed after her.
- We lied on the grass and talked for a while, looking up at the starry sky. We both have things we need to get over, but at the same time, we're both making progress and trying to moving forward. I'm glad I have someone to move forward with.
