Rostrum and Astarte in Gehenna

The Seventy-Seven Devils (七十七の悪魔) are a list of devils described in the scriptures of the Septian Church. They reside in the lower plane of Gehenna. Manifestations of the Devils, created by the Lord of Phantasma, were fought within the realm of Phantasma.

In 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV, they appear across Erebonia and Crossbell. This is stated to be due to the appearance of Argres in the Sanctus Shrine, whose holy energies the Devils are attracted to. The instability of reality caused by the Great Twilight allows them to manifest in the world, and copies are fought in the fake Salt Pales and the Tuatha De Danann.

In 영웅전설 시작의 궤적, the Devils are still active across the Empire and Crossbell and copies of these devils appear within the True Reverie Corridor.

In 영웅전설 여의 궤적, it is revealed that there only existed seventy-two devils originally. After an unknown event, five more demon lords were added. Among their ranks is Vagrants Diaspora.

More copies are found in the Abyss. It feeds on human grief and suffering. A genuine version of the devil, Plutus Bennu appears in Hamel during the Great Twilight where it causes an incursion of the Spirit World and feeds on the memories of those that suffered during the Hamel Tragedy, creating vengeful spirits.
