The ancient Zemurian civilization (古代ゼムリア文明) refers to the inhabitants of Zemuria prior to the Great Collapse. The civilization was destroyed during the Great Collapse, leaving behind advanced technologies, such as orbments, and ruins throughout the continent.

In practice, every remnant from before the Great Collapse is referred to as 'ancient'.

Background

The ancient Zemurian civilization was divided into at least seven major factions, each centered around a different Sept-Terrion.

• Aureole centred faction, led by Celeste D. Auslese, on the Liber Ark (Liberl).
• Demiourgos centred faction, led by the Crois Family, in what is now known as Crossbell.
• Ark Rouge centered faction, now known as the Hexen Clan, in the land of Erebos (Erebonia).
• Lost Zem centered faction, now known as the Gnomes, in the land of Erebos (Erebonia).
