슌란 아이젠

Chunlan Aisen (シュンラン・アイゼン), also known as the Chunlan the Sharpshooter (射手シュンラン), is a member of the 마타기 Tribe.

Appearance

Chunlan is a young man with silver hair like a snow-covered ridge, fair skin and sharp eyes. he is tall, slender and has a well-built body. In the Matagi village, he is considered attractive and the last last who could be considered young, although he does not resemble a typical Matagi.

Personality

Chunlan is deeply torn over his role in the clan and its future. He is resolute with his duty yet also seeks to travel around the world. He harbors a rivaly with the great beast Raiju which slayed his father. He cooperates well with others and is not afraid to try unorthodox strategies.

He holds strong to the ideals of the Matagi clan, to protect the mountain, pay respect to the creatures living there and to fight by facing life head on.

Background

Chunlan is one of the last remaining young men in the Matagi Village, living upon White Peak. His elders eye him up as the leader or Sukari' of the next generation.

He lost his father when younger due to the hunting of the great beast Raiju which had taken over the mountain. Confronting this beast has been a source of inner conflict for Chunlan ever since.

Chunlan is the grand-disciple of Giun Orgis, the legendary warrior of the Matagi Tribe.

새벽녘의 사수 슌란

Chunlan saves 사유 from a pack of wolves and is soon drawn into a plan that will benefit two interests, his own desire for resolution and catharsis against the Raiju and the 숲의 유인' aim to retrieve an artefact, the Lightning Blade. By working with Sayu and her brother, 다우, they eventually succeed in their aims after carefully strategy and preparation. All the while, they are hunted by a geomancer, described as a demon who also seeks the artifact.

Ultimately Chunlan resolves his inner conflict and decides to benefit the clan by travelling the world and broadening his horizons.
