Masayuki Kato (加藤正幸) (August 19, 1946 - December 15, 2024) was the founder and first president of Nihon Falcom. Toshihiro Kondo succeeded him in 2007.
He served as the company's chairman until his death, December 15 of 2024. A farewell ceremony was held the 14th March of 2025.
Background
Masayuki Kato established Nihon Falcom in March, 1981. The name "Falcom" is inspired by the Star Wars aircraft the Millennium Falcon, with the last 'con' changed to 'com' to reflect the company's mission of developing computer games.
