Glark Grommash (グラーク・グロマッシュ), known by the alias, Lightning Lord of the North, is the commander of the Northern Jaegers and a character in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel: Northern War.

Profile

Appearance

Glark is an aged man with short puce-colored hair and bright violet flecks, and mint-blue eyes. He wears the uniform of the Northern Jeagers, consisting of dark green combat slacks and blue armor plates across his chest, boots, and arms. As a commanding officer, Glark also wears a white mantle as a cape.

Personality

Glark is known to be moderate, refusing to attack the empire without a clear strategy in mind and mentioning to wait for the empire to strike first in order to have a reason for his retaliation.

Underneath his moderation, however, Glark reveals he's an ambitious yet very cautious man who wants to take over the continent using Archaisms in order to prevent any war from breaking out in the future.

Background

Glark is the head of the Northern jaegers. It is unknown where about he fits in the succession alongside Colonel Valestein, but Valestein was a comrade of his during the revolution. He was one of the heroes that led North Ambria to the Revolution and brought peace, and he also helped found the Northern Jaegers. He knows information about Lavian Winslet.

After Valestein was shot by a young boy, Glark was told by Vlad Winslet to spread the lie that Vlad had betrayed him, as Vlad wanted to unite the Northern Jaegers, even by sacrificing himself and his own reputation.

Northern War

Glark seems rather impartial at first, being verbally attacked by Rogan due to his apparent unwillingness to retaliate against the empire.

Things change when Glark refuses to pay the Empire a compensation for the burning of Celdic. Glark seeks alliances in the whole continent in order to form an army to repress the imperial invasion, and reveals he had gotten hold of an army of Archaisms and a device to control them.

After Rogan breaks off from the government and has his soldiers attack the parliament, Rogan prepares to depose Glark but finds him dead.
