The Woodland Wanderers (森の遊人) are a nomadic tribe active in Eastern Zemuria. They feature in the book Moonless Morn.
Background
The Woodland Wanderers are a tribe of nomadic people who date back generations. They are featured in the book 'Indigenous Cultural groups and their Spirits'.
The tribe have an agreement with the Septian Church. They retrieve artefacts for them and deliver them on behalf of the Church where they have little jurisdiction. In exchange for this service, they are allowed to benefit from the use of such artifacts whilst they are in their possession. This task has been passed down from generation to generation. Their possession of artefacts has made them targets of other interested parties who hunt them down.
The Wanderers live by their own set of rules but they are not bound by them and instead live in harmony with them.
Xin
The Wanderers practise their own unique a technique called Xin (シン) which is simultaneously referred to as 'heart', 'core', 'quake' and 'divinity'. It is a technique which allows one to control their muscles, body and breathing to the extent that they can reduce bleeding and stop swelling when injured, and also concentrate all muscles and power to a certain point to strike with increased force.
