Nayuta Herschel (ナユタ・ハーシェル) is a boarding student at Saint-Elysees. Nayuta is the eponymous hero in The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails.

Profile

Introduction

The Protagonist. Nayuta hails from Remnant Isle but attends an academy in the port town of Saint Elysée which rests beside the Sea of Ciencia. He's passionate about astronomy and uses a sextant and telescope left behind by his father. "Why do the ruins fall onto Remnant Isle? Is the earth truly flat?" Nayuta asks himself many such questions and is naturally drawn to the unknown. He is a logical thinker who makes his own conjectures. This makes him a good match to his childhood friend, Cygna, who relies only on intuition and physical prowess.

Appearance

Nayuta is a young man with blue hair wearing a cream-collared shirt. He wears a green cape over his tunic, tied with a red lace. He also wears a brown belt and armour circlet attachment around his waist. Nayuta uses a short sword in combat.

Personality

He a very kind, helpful and naturally comedic character to those around him. He is observed to sometimes have a bad habit of losing track of his surroundings, attributed to a lack of sleep.

Trivia

• Both Nayuta and Eartha share the same surname with Towa from the 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 I, II, III, and IV series. Although Towa's grandfather is said to have enjoyed stargazing, just like Nayuta, no concrete link between the two has been made as of yet.
• Nayuta's name may be a reference to the sanscrit word for 'Infinity' referring to the reaches of space and the universe, in keeping with the game's astronomical theme naming.
