The Imperial Institute of Science (帝國学術院(ていこくがくじゅついん)) is a research and educational facility located in Heimdallr, Erebonia.

Background

Right before the outbreak of the Hundred Days War, the Imperial Academy intended to launch an investigated to the whereabouts of a rumoured dragon in the mountain range of northern Bose, Liberl. The investigation was cancelled because of the start of the war.

One of the Imperial Liberation Front leading members, Michael Gideon, used to be an assistant professor in political philosophy at the Imperial Academy. The board dismissed Gideon from his position in S.1201 due to his intense criticism of Chancellor Giliath Osborne's hardline policies.

• The Imperial Academy is the only instance in the series where the game uses out-dated kanji for 'imperial'.
