시그나 알하젠

Cygna Alhazen (シグナ・アルハゼン) is a childhood friend of 나유타 허셜, living on Remnant Isle.

Appearance

Cygna appears as a young man with long brown hair and dark skin. A patterned collar is worn around his neck. He wears a white sleeveless top with a gold trim and a blue and red geometric pattern alongside pinstriped trousers which open at the shin to reveal boots. Numerous belts are worn on his person, around his waist, torso and several red belts around his thighs.

Cygna carries a katana with a gold guard and blue gem. A ring adorned the end of the pommel and it is kept within a decorated leather sheath.

Personality

Cygna is aloof, but dependable. He's like a brother to 나유타 허셜, and both are best friends and partners. He has a crush on Eartha Herschel, Nayuta's elder sister.

After he merges with Selam, Cygna becomes cold, ruthless, and is always insulting Nayuta. But after Nayuta beats him in a duel, Cygna becomes his old self again, and inherits a bit of Selam's seriousness.

Cygna is one half of the real Selam, who is the elder brother of Creha. After being separated from his other half by the replica of his father, Zechst di Quarius Dominador, he was thrown into the earth and was found by Orbus Alhazen inside his house's basement.

Shortly after coming to Remnant Isle, he met and cheered up Nayuta, who was just lost his parents. Since then, both are always together and become friends alongside Lyra Burton. They also formed a guild in order to help people in need.

Four months prior to the beginning of the game, Nayuta and Cygna went away from Remnant Isle in order to travel around the world and prove that the world isn't flat. After that, both return to Remnant Isle. Cygna is thinking about resuming the guild now that they're back. After some talk with Eartha, Cygna opens up the letter box and goes back to his home. But when Nayuta goes to his home, he only finds Aulbath, who says that Cygna is already going somewhere else.

Trivia

• Fitting Nayuta's star theme, Cygna's surname 'Alhazen' is a reference to the 10th Century Islamic Astronomer and mathematician 'Alhazen'. His first name may be a reference to the constellation 'Cygnus- the swan' however the fact the name isn't quite right could be a hint towards his true identity being something else.
