| Building upon the technology from their virtual battle simulator β, the Märchen Garten is the first virtual space service on the Zemuria continent that utilizes the tactical orbment [[Xipha]] and the orbal network. After research and development, the service has been significantly updated and expanded.

Users create an avatar that may not correspond directly to their genuine appearance, even to the point where a different gender can be selected.

| [[Mirabel Aalton]] is the administrator for the Märchen Garten. She requests the assistance of [[Van Arkride]] and the [[Arkride Solutions Office]] when control of Märchen Garten is forcibly taken from them by an unknown party (later revealed to be [[Garden-Master]] and the advanced AI [[Altera]]. Van and the party are forced to play through the levels in order to clear the system and return it to MTSC's administrative control.

| Throughout the story, the Garten is used to deploy simulations of locations, particularly when certain characters are undergoing [[Erosion]]. Such locations include the [[Longlai]] Waterfall, the [[Vashtar Palace]] Ruins and Stone circle near [[Creil]]. The Garten can also simulate beings and creatures encountered by the users, up to and including a copy of [[Vagrants-Zion]] who took over from Garden-Master after his defeat, Metatros-Zion. After defeating this entity, control is finally restored to Marduk and Mirabel.
