The Tragedy of Hamel was a massacre in the village of Hamel that took place on 23 April of S.1192, which formed the casus belli of the Hundred Days War.
The incident
On the night of April 23rd, S.1192, an armed group of jaegers dressed in black attacked Hamel, a border village in the southern region of the Erebonian Empire. Using Liberlian equipment, they raped and slaughtered all the inhabitants they found. Only a handful of people including Joshua Astray and Leonhardt were able to escape.
