The System (仕組み) is a set of mechanisms created through a collaboration of the Gnomes and Hexen Clan in Erebonia.
Background
Little is known about the System, even among witches of the Hexen Clan.[1]
The System dictates that fragments of the Great Power, referring to the Divine Knights, are destined to be drawn to one another and repeatedly forced to collide.[1] The witches of the Hexen Clan are responsible of operating and managing part of the System.[1] After collisions between the fragments of the Great Power, as seen during the War of the Lions and the Erebonian Civil War, the witches are charged with erasing the populace's memories of these events.[1]
